Mary Golda Ross was a Cherokee mathematician and engineer. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1928 from the Northeastern State Teacher’s College and a master’s degree in mathematics from Colorado State Teachers College in 1938. She worked at Lockheed from 1942 until 1973.
